Garden 2014 - Month 1

Last year I had a couple tomato and pepper plants in the back yard but I'm not big on eating either so growing them got kind of boring.  Well this year I went a little bigger.  I may regret this once the baby gets here but for now it gives me something to do outside and not forget all my country roots.  Month 1 for the garden has been pretty good I think. K I S S

K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Stupid I've seen this principle or idea used in many different areas such as teaching, work, and even fitness.  In working out, it basically means that you don't have to one-legged alternating full supination bicep curls to get a good workout, you can just do dumbbell curls and that'll work.  So why haven't we ever tried to apply this to our Christian walk?  Don't get me wrong, there are definitely some issues that are not simple and are very deep and complex.  I love in-depth discussions on topics that aren't crystal clear sometimes in the bible and that we struggle with today.  So this post will not directly address anything such as alcohol, greed, sex, homosexuality, hypocrisy or any other specific sins. 1.  Love The Lord Your God "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"  Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul and with all your mind." - Matthew 22:36-37 ...

Michael Sam is homosexual, acts openly about it on tv and is praised. What part of that sounds fair or equal? Both were male college athletes heading into the NFL proud of their beliefs, yet one is praised by the media for his beliefs while the other is criticized for discussing his? Do you really want fair?     "They attacked Tim Tebow for talking about faith, but they praised Michael Sam for being gay? Does the media have two different definitions when talking about tolerance? http://fxn.ws/1qvhvb7 " - Fox & Friends photo and quote   I had a post on FB a while back about sexual immorality but it can basically be summed up in this verse, "Or do you n...
