The USA was founded as being the land of the free. But today many of our freedoms have been taken away.
One of them being the Freedom OF Religion. Yes, I am a Christian and have chosen to follow Jesus Christ, I can give you numerous reasons why in a separate post if you would like. The 1st Amendment in the Bill of Rights states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
So if I understand this correctly, it means that each and every individual has the right to use their free will to choose what religion, if any, they want to follow. Well freedom OF does not mean freedom FROM. If I am forced to not speak about God or his son Jesus, what would that be? It's not freedom. It would be atheism. You see, no God is a religion, not freedom of it so let's get that point clear quickly.
Let's go to what children are being taught in schools, "Evolution is scientific - Creationism is religious." US District Court Judge William R Overton threw out the law that both evolution and creation should be taught equally basically by stating the above quote and saying that religion could not be taught in school. He clearly missed the first point of this post.
In 1925 only Creationism was being taught in schools. But evolutionists, led by atheist Clarence Darrow and the ACLU fought to change that law saying that "It is bigotry for schools to teach only one theory of origins." Fast forward to today and the ACLU is pushing to keep only one theory of origins being taught in schools, evolution. Now if that isn't bigotry on the other foot I don't know what is.
And now Mozilla is under fire for hiring an "anti-gay" CEO. Ask yourself this, if he should be fired for being anti-gay, could I believe that someone should be fired from their job for being pro-gay? We are not allowed to say anything negative about anything or anyone in this country today EXCEPT Christians. That's the sad truth. I remember when Tim Tebow was sacked one time, the LB kneeled down as if in prayer "Tebowing". If a Muslim or Islamic player had been sacked and the defensive player made a mocking gesture he would have been fined before the whistle blew.
We as Christians have got to take a stand for what we believe and know to be right. "But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." - 1 Peter 3:15
"Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong." - 1 Corinthians 16:13
